Flowers & Trees

Hi there!  I haven't been around too much this past week because we've been busy getting Tex settled in.  Aside from just getting used to his new home he's had training on the Invisible Fence system and a visit to the vet to contend with.  He's taking it all in stride though - he continues to amaze us!

Anyway I finally made it into the Craft Cave today and got a couple of cards put together.  First up is a card for the Muse challenge and the One Layer Simplicity Multitude of Gratitude challenge.  I was inspired by Tracey's flower and layout but used more autumnal colours to represent this month of gratitude.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Stamps:  (Flower from Calico, Sentiment from Chit Chat) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip) Stampin' Up
Gems:  Recollections

My second card uses the design from Freshly Made Sketches and the palette from Colour Me.  I pulled out some Woodware stamps that I've had for years and paper pieced them with solid coloured cardstock (definitely one of my favourite techniques).  I have to dash off to work for a couple of hours now so that's it for today.  Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red, Tangelo Twist, So Saffron, Cucumber Crush, Soft Suede) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Tree & holly) Woodware, (Sentiment from Joy to the World) Avery Elle
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die:  (Star) Mama Elephant
Gems:  Recollections

Two wonderful cards, and I am glad that Tex is settling in well. Too bad you live so far away, because I think that Tex and Sherlock would be great buddies.

These are both beautiful, clean and fresh cards...just the way I love them. The Christmas card for FMS is stunning. I love the stamp and the way you paper-pieced it. What a great look. I love the way you tucked the sentiment in there, too. Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
