There's a new card challenge in town! The Card Concept offers a challenge (this week it's a colour challenge) and asks you to make a card using one of the 6 design styles explained here. Most of my designs tend to be Clean and Simple (CAS) although I occasionally veer off into Clean and Layered or Clean and Graphic. I would say this card is CAS (although it wouldn't take much more to push it into the Clean and Layered category I don't think). The flower image is from The Craft's Meow and the sentiment is from Market Street Stamps. Unfortunately both these companies have closed up shop. So sad when good companies say goodbye. :(
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (Regal Rose, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso) Stampin' Up
Stamps: (Flower from Flower Garden) The Craft's Meow, (Sentiment from Simple Salutations) Market Street Stamps
Ink: (Regal Rose, Early Espresso) Stampin' Up
Dies: (Wavy border from Borders 1) Paper Smooches, (Tilted Banners) Simon Says Stamp
Punch: (1/8" hole punch) McGill
Other: (Glossy Accents) Ranger

Gorgeous card! I love the curved line on the left!
Awesome :) those glossy accents is an amazing touch to the flower
Wonderful card, Jen. I assume you made your own "enamel dots" and they look great coming out of the flower.
Great use of these colours - love the bold pink and the curved panel. Thanks for joining us at the Card Concept!
Lovely card, that flowing curve is fab :-)
Sallly

Jen this is such a sweet design, I love your Glossy Accent dots! Thank you so much for joining us for the first challenge at The Card Concept!
oooh, love how your flower stem mimics the curve of your panel (kinda, but not all matchy-matchy, you know) and then the banner. Gorgeous!
So pretty. You are back in style, Jen!
That is a really pretty flower with the text print...you really are very talented...love the enamel dots and the folded banner. You have really done a great job of incorporating all the sketch colors.
Ooooh, this beauty is a jaw-dropper! And a Pinner! And a CASE-er. Can you tell I LOVE It?!?!
This is so pretty, Jen ... love how the side panel reflects the flowing stem of the flower ... the enamel dots are simply splendid! Anita :)
Oh my....this is stunning! The movement that you have created is breath taking! Ditto on Anita's remark about the stem reflecting the curve of the espresso card stock! Elegant simplicity, precision stamping, perfectly balanced desing...absolutely gorgeous!
My gosh Jen, I agree with all of the above, Such a gorgeous design. I love how the sentiment banner connects the elements. Thank you so much for joining us at the Card Concept!
This really beautiful. I like how you curved the edge between the white and brown, and the stem of the flower looks like it kind of echos that curve. Love those little dots coming from the flower, too.
Oh my gosh...this is one of my all time favorites of yours Jen...beautiful!
I think this card is beautiful. Love the curved edge.
What a stunning card! I love the curve and the dark brown! Very striking! Thanks so much for joining us at The Card Concept! :)
This is awesome. Love that banner - and the dots coming out from the flower. It IS sad when great companies go out of business - I get it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
What an elegant and fun design, Jen! It's not easy combining those two design features, but you did it magnificently. I just love the movement and the use of the challenge colors!! Congratulations on the win at The Card Concept!! Hugs, Darnell
