I really fell off the challenge wagon last year so I'm slowly starting to reconnect with old favourites and get playing again. For this card I used the palette from Colour Throwdown and the RetroSketches layout. Lots of oldie goldies and NBUS here. I love the Hero Arts flourish background stamp and Papertrey Ink's woodgrain impression plate and Beautiful Blooms dies. The heart is from a bunch of packets of Studio Calico wood veneers that I've been squirreling away and I think it's the first time the Sweet Stamp Shop sentiment has seen ink. Looking at the card now I think perhaps the flower should have been bigger. I may have to revisit the design at some point…
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (White) Bazzill, (Peach Parfait, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up

Dies: (Flower, circle, frame) Papertrey Ink
Punches: (1/8" & 1/16" hole punches) McGill
Impression Plate: (Woodgrain) Papertrey Ink
Wood Veneer: (Heart) Studio Calico

I love the way you slightly offset the sentiment panel with the blue matting. Gorgeous Jen.
Perfect use of the sketch Jen and the colours look fab together
Beautiful use of the colors Jen!
Very pretty Jen. Great job with both challenges. That peach flower is lovely. Thank you for playing along with us at The Color Throwdown.
I like the offset sentiment panel too, along with the flourish and woodgrain!! Thxs for joining us at CTD!!
You did a great job with the colors (they threw me for a loop) and I think the flower is the perfect size.
You've done an amazing job combining these two challenges, Jen! All the colours accounted for in perfect harmony. :)
Adore the woodgrain, the tone on tone, ULTRA bright White label -LOTZA loves here!
I've stepped down in the hope that I can 'play' a little more myself, but with a zillion 'big' birthday's happening around me at the moment I'm just living on champagne instead lol. Isn't it fun just to make for the fun of it, your card is gorgeous Jen!
Fabulous card with those colors. I love your flower with the little heart.
I'm loving the woodgrain! and how you layered the labels. There are just so many challenges out there that it's easy to throw up your hands and go "ACK" (or something with four letters...) It's definitely a good feeling to be able to play along in a few regularly, though :)
Love the mix of papers!
Fun use of this layout! I like the embellishments on the flower.
Great picture of you with your dog!
