Hello, everyone, and welcome to the very first CASology challenge! Here's how the challenge is going to work:
1. Every Tuesday, a cue card will be posted containing a single word.
2. Take that word and run with it! Interpret it however you'd like! Just be sure and keep things clean and simple!
3. Deadline is Sunday at noon (CST) to link up your project on the challenge blog. Be sure to provide a link to the CASology blog within your blog post!
4. Feel free to combine this challenge with other challenges.
5. A Winner and 4 Honorable Mentions will be announced Monday!
Here's the Cue Card for this week:
And here's my card:
Design Defined:
When I make a really CAS card I tend to use textured or embossed card for the base as it adds some interest without stealing from the design. Using patterned paper also creates the same effect and, for me, a few gems always give the card it's final pop!

Such an awesome card Jen, I think those clouds are the sweetest and that sentiment so perfect!
Such an encouraging card - love all the swirls!
Love all those swirls on the clouds...fabulous design! Hoping I can find time to get a card in for the first challenge!
Great card to kick off your new DT! Your fussy cutting is fantastic as usual! And I love the sentiment!
Hope you're having a great week Jen!
Jen, I love this design! You've created such wonderful dimension with the clouds and the gemstones are definitely the perfect final touch! :)
Such a fun card. I love the simplicity of it--but you definitely get your point across. Those clouds are the best.
EEEK! I love it! I especially love that you gave us some insight into your design :) I really hope I can play along - you're starting to see some white space, but hardly CAS!
Love the swirly clouds, great card

Fabulous card, Jen! Love those swirly clouds and the great sentiment. I'm looking forward to playing along with this new CAS challenge.
You asked where I live. On a narrow peninsula in the NW corner of Washington State, USA. Beautiful rocky beaches and quite a lot of rain. :)

LOVE .,,. ahhh white space and a bang of colour :)
I just love those very funky retro clouds! Such a superb design! Thanks so much for the lovely comment you left on my blog today!
This is sure to cheer up the recipient!
Jen, your card totally inspired me! I love the white space, the cool clouds and paper-piecing, and that great sentiment! Thanks for visiting my blog, too!
Hi Jen, this is such an adorable card and it has got me singing that song 'The sun will come out tomorrow...' but I can't remember the name of the musical it was in. Was it Annie? Anyway, you know you made at least one person sing with this beautiful card! Kx
This is so cute and so hopeful, I love it! All of these cards for the new CAS challenge are just adorable! I'm going to play along tomorrow.
(Thanks, Jen, for all your visits at my place and all the love you left me!)
Repeating an element in a design (whether in your home, garden, art etc) is something I have learned by experience, not through professional training. I wondered whether anyone noticed the font design repeating the design in your clouds and sun? The swirl is repeated in the T, S, W and in the last T. The stamped images and sentiment on their own - nice. Together with the addition of the three "blazing" rhinestones -- CAS Perfection!
How fun is this?!!!!
Fun! Can't wait to see if I have something that goes with this weeks CUE word.
Adorable card, love your swirly clouds and fun sentiment By the way I will now have this song in my head ALL DAY!!!
Awesome first DT project! I love the mix of flourishy images and excellent CAS design. And -- oh good! -- another challenge I can add to my list to not get around to! :P
Love your curlicue clouds! So cute!
Congrats on new challenge, thanks for head's up, just linked up.
Those swirly clouds are so wonderful, love your card Jen :)
Not only is your card adorable, now that song is in my head for the next few days :)
What a wonderful sentiment and one that we all need to be reminded of sometimes!
