I made a super cute card for the last Paper Smooches Sparks challenge but when I went to post it I was 2 days late! Doh! Not gonna miss it this time though (even if I have waited until the last minute). As usual Kim has provided us with a fun image that opens the door for all kinds of crafty possibilities. I was inspired by the colours and the flower and combined stamps from Pretty Phrases and Friendly Flowers to come up with my card. I kept it simple with some patterned paper, fussy cutting and a bit of bling. And thanks to the paper I'll also be entering it over at the patterned paper challenge at Lily Pad Cards.
Cardstock: (Kraft) Paertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: (Branch & Ripple from Brook collection) Crate Paper
Stamps: (Sentiment from Pretty Phrases, Flower from Friendly Flowers) Paper Smooches
Ink: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder: (Clear) Ranger
Gems: Doodlebug

Jen - I saw this card linked up to the Lily Pad challenge when I was linking my card. I LOVE your card, and especially the way you trimmed the papers around the sentiment on the top. That is such a great idea! I don't know if you saw it or not (or are interested), but PS is also doing a March guest designer search. I didn't see your card linked there. I thought I'd give it a shot - never tried before. If you're interested: http://papersmooches.blogspot.com/2012/02/march-guest-designer-search.html
I'm off to look at more of your blog and become a follower!

LOVE this card, Jen! I thought for sure it was a die instead of your 'fussy' cutting ~ Fab job :)
WOW!! This is such a genius design....I looove how you incorporated the wording into the patterned paper...sooo cool!!!!
At first I thought it might be a die cut as well. Soooooo wonderful how you fussy cut around the sentiment! LOVE it!
This is seriously cute! The yellow really makes the sentiment pop, and those are some mad cutting skills!

Didja make it in time? I just now realized I was 3 hours late for one challenge...boo, hiss, especially since it was a hard one and I made myself do it anyway. (Wah, wah, wah)

Wow girl you rock the fussy cutting like NO OTHER! Seriously! This is one super cool card! Ding Ding Ding....I see a winner!
what cool colours, they actually work better on your card than the inspiration ... looks a lot more richer and summery
