Musical Rainbow
Have you ever been away from crafting for awhile and then really struggled to get back into it? Since we got back from our Christmas trip I've really been trying to find that awesome groove that I had going before the holidays. It has not been easy and today's the first day I finally got something made that didn't make me want to scream. It's for the sketch challenge at Skipping Stones Design. Can't believe I'm starting out the year with a sketch challenge! Maybe this will be a year full of changes... I'm also going to enter this over at Simon Says Stamp's New challenge as this is the first time I've inked up this set of stamps.
And here's the view from our hotel on our trip. Any idea where we were? :)

This card really makes me smile! I love the rainbow and musical notes, plus the twine. Hope you enjoyed your time in Vegas! ;)
Jen, that quote is one of my absolute favourites, and it works so well with this card. I love rainbows and I love music, so I am totally in love with your card today! :-)
I love the photo from your hotel! I haven't been to Las Vegas. One day I might make it, fingers crossed!
Brilliant card - the musical rainbow is a great idea. I think you're back in the groove!
Great holiday photo too - Las Vagas?
Great way to get back into it Jen with a fabulous card. Wonderful take on the sketch too :)
Oh I've missed your creativeness Jen, I know how hard it is to get back into the groove!!!
Gorgeous card to start back with, love the rainbow with the manuscript over stamping.
Fab view, what beautiful weather at Christmas!!!!
Jenny xx
Where you a winner in Vegas? See any good shows?
I love your card...the stamping is gorgeous! And..I adore the sentiment!
It seems that your groove is back. I am definitely thrilled and waiting for the inspiration that I always get from your work! I've already bookmarked this one for a CASE!
I had no idea, looking at the photo, but I'm throwing my guess in as Vegas too, since it made sense as soon as I read it :)
I think it's pretty normal to have that creative 'blech' right after Christmas. We push so hard & create so much, and then our brains just go into 'holiday neutral' - at least that's what I call it. I'm just now getting back into the swing of things, and not for lack of trying!
I love the rainbow colours (well, duh, it's me!) and the music stamp is beautiful...want :)
Very neat design! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Skipping Stones Design!
Totally loving the music background! Its just gorgeous! And I am going to guess Vegas too! Jealous!!
Love this brilliant card with all the yummy colors! Welcome home and hope you had a great visit in "sin city"- ha!
Happy New Year, Jen! I hope you and Luis had a wonderful time in Vegas. Woot!! Wow, a sketch challenge, eh? Well, I'm thrilled to see that it's SSD109. ;) This is gorgeous! I love the rainbow, the twine and of course the music stamps.
Such a cool card!! I love it! :)
Fantabulous card Jen! Love those bright rainbow colours! I've only just found my mojo again, it was hidden at the back of the cupboard behind the sauce bottle... looks like you've found yours too!
You're back, and just when I was starting to worry! ;) Happy New Year, Jen. I hear you on the struggle -- I think I packed my mojo away with the Christmas stamps. :P This is an awesome card, though -- love the rainbow and of course the music theme!
Glad to know it's not just me that's hated everything I've tried to make for the last two weeks. My mojo started coming back around too, so maybe it's contagious. Love your rainbow take on the sketch and the vertical sentiment.
Oh, Vegas, baby, Vegas! Hope you had fun and came home with some coin left in your pockets!
Ooh, oh, oh Love this one. So happy and bright, and the music notes tie it all in together! Glad you are back!
This is so fun Jen. I really like how you flipped the sketch.
And yes, it seems every time I have to step away from crafting for awhile it's very very hard to get back in sync again.
love how you flipped the sketch! Thanks for joining us at Skipping Stones Design sketch challenge!
