Bear-thday

Hello!

Today I've got a for the My Favourite Things sketch challenge. I'm trying to make more cards with coloured card bases and maybe put a dent in my cardstock stash (ha!). I particularly like this one and with that fun MFT patterned paper I could use lots of different colours and make a whole pile of them.

Mandala Birthday

Hi there!

I'm popping in today with a card for the CAS Colours and Sketches colour challenge. These stamps are all from a lovely Lil' Inker Designs set called Modern Mandala. In the past I've spent ages colouring those gorgeous patterns but this time I wanted to leave them clean and open and bring colour into the card with the banners instead.

You're Brrr-fect

Today I'm playing along with two challenges - Paper Smooches Anything Cold and Time Out's Photo Challenge. I'm pretty sure I've never inked up these adorable PS Chilly Chums which really is a crime so I tried to make up for it by creating 3 cards. The hearts on the tree branches in the photo are what made me think to use the PS linked hearts to create a background and I filled in one heart to create a visual triangle.

Scattered Flowers

Good morning!

I didn't get as much crafty time as I wanted this weekend since I got a last minute call to cover a work shift on Saturday but I did manage to make a card for three challenges - CAS Colours and Sketches (colours this week), Freshly Made Sketches and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Fun with Florals). I pulled out some Lil' Inker Designs flower dies and cut out a whole pile of them in the three challenge colours. I ended up making 3 cards and still didn't use them all up so they're ready and waiting for a future card. The sentiment and flag are both from My Favourite Things. I added Glossy Accents to the centre of the three biggest flowers and gems to some of the smaller ones for a bit of shine.

Bold Patterned Birthday

Hello there!

I'm popping in today with a card for the Seize the Birthday Layer It challenge. I took inspiration from this gorgeous card made by Gayatri. I changed it up a bit by keeping the die cuts right next to each other and using patterned paper instead of inked card. It's a great way to make use of patterned paper especially the old 12x12 sheets that I have. I added the Simon Says birthday die over the top which is a two layer die so counting the card base I have 4 layers. I liked the design so much I ended up making three cards with different papers and I imagine there will be more in the future.
