Mushroom & Dreams

Hi there!

I've got a couple of challenge cards to share today.  First up is for Freshly Made Sketches.  I finally broke out these Essentials by Ellen stamps and did some layered stamping to get some shading on the mushroom.  The sentiment is hard to read but it's a worthy pun - Thank you so mush!  Love it!  The paper is ancient Basic Grey paper and I added a few little Crystal Drops as accents.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Lucky 12x12) Basic Grey
Stamps:  (All from Snailed It) Essentials by Ellen
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Sand Dune, Rocky Shore, Mocha) Altenew
Die:  (Zig Zag Stitched Oval) My Favourite Things
Glitter:  (Nuvo Ebony Crystal Drops) Tonic
Glitter:  (Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss) Tonic

Next is a card inspired by Tracey's gorgeous design at Muse.  The flower and leaves are from the same EBE set as above and I paired them with a Neat & Tangled sentiment.  I paper pieced the banner part of the sentiment to make it pop a bit more.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Rose Red) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flower & leaves from Snailed It) Essential by Ellen, (Sentiment from Dreams) Neat & Tangled
Inks:  (VersaFine) Tsukineko, (Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Bamboo, Parrot, Olive) Altenew

Kitty Trio

CAS(E) This Sketch has another Retro Sketch for us this week.  I was on the design team the first time this sketch was used - you can see my original card here.  This time around, instead of a chevron injury, I went for a trio of adorable MFT kitties, a Honey Bee sentiment and Lawn Fawn paper.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Let's Polka 6x6) Lawn Fawn
Stamps:  (Cat from Cool Cat) My Favourite Things, (Sentiment from Pawsome Sentiments) Honey Bee Stamps

CASology #295

Welcome to Week 295 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Believing in yourself can sometimes be a tall order so it's always nice to get a little encouragement now and then.  This sentiment is from a graduation set from Lil' Inker but it can be used for general confidence boosting too.  The sentiment itself is a work of art and really could stand on it's own but I thought a soaring bird just gave it a little extra something.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Happy Hello

Hi there!

I've got one more card to share from yesterday's crafty session.  This is another one for the Paper Smooches Spring Challenge but this time using the colours from CAS Colours and Sketches.  I have to say I'd never have put these colours together on my own but I like the result.  I die cut the plant from coloured cardstock and trimmed some stripes to add to the bottom of the card.  The flower and the sentiment are all Paper Smooches.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Old Olive) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Fun & Flirty) Paper Smooches

Flowers & Birdie

Life has felt a little crazy this week so I was happy to grab some crafty time today and play along with some challenges.  First up is a card for the current Paper Smooches Spring challenge using the palette from The Colour Throwdown.  It's an all die cut card which I don't do very often.  The flowers are Paper Smooches and the Thank You is from Poppy Stamps.  I used Nuvo Crystal Drops for the flower centres.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White) Bazzill, (Real Red, Pretty In Pink, Mint Macaron, Basic Black) Stampin' Up

Next up is a card for Freshly Made Sketches using some ancient My Mind's Eye papers, another Poppy Stamps die and an Avery Elle sentiment.  I am chipping away at the patterned paper stash little by little but it could still probably last me another 10 years!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Bloom & Grow 12x12) My Mind's Eye

CASology #294

Welcome to Week 294 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I love this Lawn Fawn balloon and I think the sentiment works for a number of new starts in life - entering the working world after graduation, starting a new job or just taking that first step towards a dream or life goal.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

CASology #293

Welcome to Week 293 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I had a request for Easter cards a couple of years ago but haven't really used these stamps and dies since then so this challenge gave me a perfect excuse to dust them off and put them to use.  The inspiration for this card came from a church that I pass on the way to work every day.  Across the street they have three crosses set up on the cliff edge overlooking the water.  At certain times of year they're draped with fabric which looks gorgeous when it's blowing in the breeze with the turquoise water backdrop.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!
