R is for Rude

 After being crowned Queen of Snark last week at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers I was invited to be a guest designer for their new challenge - R is for Rude!  If you've never played along with (or heard of) the Sisterhood you MUST check them out.  You are always guaranteed a giggle with their collection of cheeky and sassy cards.

I made a few different cards for this challenge but this was the favourite in the end.  I pulled out these Skipping Stones Designs granny panties, paper-pieced them and paired them with a Technique Tuesday sentiment - they were made for each other!

It's been a long time since I played along with The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers but I couldn't resist their birthday challenge.  I adore this grumpy cat and this MFT snarky sentiment suits him perfectly.  I paper-pieced a Tim Holtz birthday hat for him which seems to have made him even more grumpy!  :)

Elephant and Cake

Hi there!  I have two more cards that I made earlier in the week to share with you.  First up is a card for the Cupcake Inspirations colour challenge.  I was inspired by Tanja's card and pulled out this NBUS WPlus9 elephant.  I paper pieced him and his party hat with solid colour cardstock and kept things really simple by matting the panel on Perfect Plum cardstock.  He really is a cute little guy isn't he?  I've got to give this set a little more attention.

Next up is a two-for-one challenge card.  I combined the "cake" challenge at Addicted to CAS with the "O is for Old" challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.   Skipping Stones Design is a great go-to company for cheeky images and sentiments.   This particular set has  4 great follow ups to the "You know you're getting old when..." part of the sentiment.    Anyway I stamped, coloured, fussy cut and popped up the cake, surrounded it with the sentiment and was on my way!

Warm Kitty Wishes

Hi there!  I have two cards to share with you this afternoon.  First up is a card for The Paper Players colour challenge to use black and white plus silver or gold and one other colour.  I used an NBUS Neat & Tangled stamp and I tried out some glitter finish embossing powder from American Crafts.  The card is far more sparkly in real life than in the picture but that's par for the course I'm afraid!

Next is a card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers K is for Kitties challenge.  Conveniently, I had to make a cat themed card for a client so I have an entry however, I have some other actual snarky ideas and am hoping to get some time to make one or two of them tomorrow.  We'll see.  I have to take Mr. Tex to the vet at lunch time as he is itching like mad.  No fleas - seems to be a skin issue.  Poor guy is going nuts!  Anyway that's it for now.  Time to head out in the wind and rain to take care of the kitties.  (Cue world's smallest violin).  :D  Have a lovely evening!

Zombie Love

Okay, I know I said I was done with the Valentine's cards but I had a special request from a co-worker that I just couldn't refuse!  She loved this card and ordered a bunch of them for Christmas.  Then she asked for a Valentine's card…  I am so going to get my money's worth from these stamps.  :D  Hope you have a fabulous day!  Nom nom nom nom nom….

ETA:  I had thought about entering this in the inaugural Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Anti-Valentine challenge but wasn't sure if it was snarky enough.  However, I've had two suggestions (thanks, Lindsey and Darnell!)that I enter it so I'm going to throw my hat into the ring for this brilliant new challenge!
