Merry & Bright

Today's card is for the Fusion challenge and Darnell's NBUS challenge.  I was inspired by the sketch from Fusion and turned it 90 degrees to the right for a landscape layout.  I broke out these Lawn Fawn Christmas light dies for the first time and popped the lights up on foam tape for some dimension.  They were so easy to use.  Why have I waited so long???

Peek-A-Boo Elephant

Today' card is for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  I recently got these Avery Elle Peek-a-Book Pals stamps and thought they'd be perfect for this layout and since I'm using them for the first time I'm going to join in with Darnell's NBUS challenge.  I spent way too long dithering about which patterned paper to use but finally decided on this random piece that I found (no idea who made it) and decided on the green cardstock to make that one green stripe in the paper pop out.  Also since I had everything out I made a second card with a slightly different layout.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Granny Apple Green) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper
Stamps:  (All from Peek-a-Boo Pals) Avery Elle

Birthday Rainbow

Another card from yesterday's crafty session.  This one is for The Colour Throwdown challenge. This colour combo is definitely not one I'd ever choose for myself but I decided to be brave and go for it.  And you know what?  I'm pretty happy with the end product!  This is also the first time I've used that Essentials by Ellen rainbow die so I'm going to play along with Darnell's NBUS challenge too.  :)

Today's card is for the MFT Sketch challenge and Darnell's NBUS challenge.  These MFT critters are fairly new so I'm proud at how quickly they've gotten put to use compared with so many other crafty supplies.  I made a couple of cards using 3 of the critters from the set and swapped out the red stripes for green for some of them.

Outline Alpha Birthday

Hello there!

I've got a card today for three challenges - CAS Colours & SketchesFreshly Made Sketches and Darnell's NBUS challenge.  I broke out these Concord & 9th outline alphabet dies for the first time and used them to create some sentiment only cards.  I had to cut the letters from all 3 cardstock colours so I ended up making 3 cards.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Birthday from Happy Snappy Crocs) Heffy Doodle
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko

Textured Triangles

Hello!

I've got a card today for the Just Add Ink challenge where we are to Just Choose 2: Flowers - Trees - Texture.  (I went for flowers & texture).  I've had this card base sitting on my desk for ages on which I used pink tinted texture paste with a MFT Tiny Triangles stencil.  I was rummaging through my Altenew stamps earlier and came across this never before used flower set.  I thought it would really pop against the pink if I kept it simple and stamped it in black.  I added a touch of yellow to their centres and then a yellow sentiment block to tie it together.  I'll also be playing along with the July NBUS challenge since this is the first time these flowers have seen ink.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Daffodil Delight) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (All from Frosted Garden) Altenew
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black Black) Tsukineko, (Regal Rose) Stampin' Up, (Limoncello) Catherine Pooler
Stencil:  (Tiny Triangles) My Favourite Things
Embossing Paster:  Dreamweaver Stencils
Other:  (Nuvo Oyster Grey Crystal Drops) Tonic

Caffeinated Shark

Tonight I have a card for Darnell's NBUS challenge and another card for the Colour Throwdown challenge.  I have a whole bunch of these caffeinated critters from The Rabbit Hole Designs and so far I've only used one of them.  Definitely time to remedy that situation!  I love the sentiment that goes with this shark (Hello, Jaws!) although the movie definitely inflicted some damage on my psyche as a child.  Because he needs a bigger cup I thought it would be funny if I tucked him into this Lil' Inker Designs mug.  Some mornings I feel like I could definitely do with a coffee mug that size!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black) Stampin; Up
Stamps:  (Shark & sentiment from Caffeinated Shark) The Rabbit Hole Designs, (Shadow) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (VersaMark, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko, (Crumb Cake) Stampin; Up
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow

CASology #139

Welcome to Week 139 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

You bowled us over last week with all your gorgeous blossoms and made it really tough to pick a winner.  This week's cue word is a little bit trickier but I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with.  I used some NBUS Paper Smooches stamps and paper pieced my shoes with some Studio Calico scraps.  Simple but fun and sassy!  And now it's your turn. Check out the gorgeous designs by the rest of the design team and then play along!

And this week's guest designer:

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that the deadline for entries is Monday at noon (CST).

Since I've used some NBUS I'm going to link up to Darnell's latest NBUS challenge!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  (Atlantic 6x6) Studio Calico
Stamps:  (All from Retail Therapy) Paper Smooches

Fusion Friend

***This is my third post for the day.  For my Colour Throwdown post please scroll down or click here!***

Hi again!  I've got a two for one challenge here today.  I'm playing along with the Fusion challenge and also Darnell's NBUS challenge.  I love the rainbow of colours in the Fusion photo - so very yummy! They were my main inspiration for my card (although there's also a slight nod to the sketch).  I used my circle scribbles dies for the first time here which are my NBUS.  I then inked the sentiment in coordinating ink colours and spritzed them with some water before stamping.  I used regular white cardstock instead of watercolor paper and I kind of like the marbled effect it gave to the ink.  Okay, that's it for me today. I'll see you tomorrow!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Super Script) Altenew
Inks:  (Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Small scribble circle) Papertrey Ink
