Sympathy Flower

Hello!

Today I've got a card for the current CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.  This Winnie & Walter flower and leaves have been sitting on my desk for a while and I realized they'd be perfect for this week's sketch.  I paired them with some turquoise washi tape and a Lil' Inker sympathy die.

Butterflies & Babies

***This is my second post for today.  For my CASology post please scroll down or

Hi there!  After a frustratingly unproductive weekend I had a good few hours in the Craft Cave today. My first card is for two challenges - I used the colours from Just Add Ink and took inspiration from Alice's card at Time Out Challenges. I was inspired by Alice's layout and her use of washi tape.  She must have the most amazing washi collection because she rocks so many different ones on her cards and has so many cool designs.  I used some Scotch washi tape behind my layered butterfly and added a liberal splash of Wink of Stella to the top layer to finish it off.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Kraft) Papertrey Ink, (Blackberry Bliss, Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew
Inks:  (Blackberry Bliss) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Butterflies) Papertrey Ink
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stella) Zig
Washi - Scotch
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is a three for one card.  Both The Paper Players and The Friday Mashup are calling for square cards this week and I thought the sketch over at Stampin' Celebration would work perfectly for a square card.  The other option for The Friday Mashup was to use the colours pink, grey and sky.  I wanted to have separate baby girl and boy cards so I ended up only using two of the colours for each of my cards and not all three colours so this week I'm not mashing it up.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Handy Hippo, (Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue)) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Story Time) Avery Elle
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Stitched Stars) Lil' Inker Designs
Washi:  Crafty Basics
Gems:  Recollections

Thank You Tag

Just one card from me today.  This is for the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players.  I needed a few thank you cards for a special order and this sketch got me going on the first one.  The flower is a Paper Smooches die that's layered multiple times.  I don't know where the tag came from but I like the distressed edges on it.  That Scotch decorative tape is one of my favourites.  Pretty sketchy polka dots!  Off to work now - have a lovely day!

CASology #129

Welcome to Week 129 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

There may be a few people scratching their heads at this cue word but I'm pretty sure that most of you will be aware of Darnell and her NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) challenges.  Darnell is hands down one of the funniest (and most supportive) cardmakers in our crafty corner of the Blogosphere and if you've never visited her over in her playhouse then you must go immediately and read a post or two.  Just be sure not to drink anything while reading her stories - it's a dangerous combo!  :)

Anyway Darnell is currently running the third installment of her NBUS challenge so we decided to play along with her.  The hello die you see on my card is one I just got for Christmas and the washi tape has been kicking around for well over a year before finally making it onto a project.

Are you ready to join us?  You can play along with CASology and with Darnell this week.  Just use a product on your card that you've never used before.  It can be something new you got recently or something covered with an inch of dust.  Just make sure this is it's maiden voyage!  Be sure to check out the brilliant designs from the rest of the DT gals and then get to work!

Enjoy The Ride

Hi there!  I'm popping in today with a card for 2 challenges.  I took the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch (turned 180 degrees) and paired it up with the Seeing Red Recipe Swap from Catered Crop and came up with this.  I thought this fun washi tape would make a great road for a bright red VW Bug to zip along!  I coloured the Bug with some Copics and popped it up on foam tape to finish it off.  Hope you all have a lovely day!

Totes The Best

***This is my second card for the day.  For my Colour Throwdown card please scroll down or click here***

Hi again!  I'm back with a card for the CASE Study challenge.  My inspiration came pretty much entirely from the layout of Wida's card.  I like the strip of black and white stripes in the background and the stacked sentiments.  I used some wide washi tape for my background and then layered up a rainbow of speech bubbles with Paper Smooches sentiments on top of it.  I'm pretty pleased with how it came out - a bright and fun card for a cool kid!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry)  Stampin' Up

Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
