Birthday Hearts

I don't usually enter a bunch of challenges all with one card but it's that heart time of year and I'm already done with making Valentine's cards.  Both the birthday sentiment and the scalloped frame were on my desk so all I had to do was die cut some hearts from some patterned paper, layer everything up and I was done!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up, (Vellum)
Patterned Papers:  (Love Story 6x6) Echo Park
Dies:  (Hearts) Taylored Expressions, (Sentiment) Simon Says Stamp, (Scalloped frame) My Favourite Things

Reindeer Jingles

I've got one more card for today - this one for the current CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.  I'm so far behind on Christmas cards so I pulled out these Mama Elephant reindeer (gifted to me by the ever fabulous Claire of Ham'n'Mule Designs) and put them to work.  I used some scraps of Echo Park paper for the circles and background stripe and lots of gems for sparkle!

Tired of Texting

Hello!

I've got a card to share for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I pulled out some oldies but goodies for this one.  The typewriter is by Hero Arts and the notebook dies are Paper Smooches.  I dug out some coloured embossing powder (which I very rarely use but, of course, have a ton of) and some older Echo Park patterned paper.  I am determined to put a serious dent in my stash this year!  I'm pretty sure this is my #1 resolution every year but eventually it has to stick right?  Just keep swimming crafting...

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up!
Patterned Paper:  (Yellow from Fall Dots & Stripes, Blue from Metropolitan Dots & Stripes) Echo Park

Yellow & Teal

Hello!

I've got two cards to share today for 4 challenges.  First up is for CAS Colours & Sketches and Inkspirational.  I finally got my hands on these adorable MFT birthday chicks.  I inked them up for the first time today and I think they're going to get a lot of use!  I coloured this little guy with Copics and added some glitter to the cupcakes and hat.  He and the sentiment are popped up on foam tape.

Next is a card for Freshly Made Sketches and Just Add Ink ("T").  I used some older supplies for this card.  The thanks die is Avery Elle, the sentiment is Mama Elephant and the paper is Echo Park.  I didn't really mean to stick to one colour palette today but hey if it works it works!

Dog Days of Summer

Hi there!

Popping in quickly today with a card for the Simon Says Wednesday Bright and Cheerful challenge.  I have a lot of Newton's Nook stamps that are NBUS - a situation I really must rectify especially when the images are as adorable as this.  I also used some ancient patterned paper.  Whoop whoop!

Hi-ya!

Hello hello!

I'm popping in today with a card for the Inkspirational sketch challenge.  It gave me the perfect excuse to finally ink up these adorable Mama Elephant ninjas and also to use some ancient Echo Park patterned papers.  I'm also going to play along with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

Fussy cutting the ninjas took a bit of time but aside from that this came together pretty quickly.  I'm kind of loving all the bright colours and patterns - so not my usual style but fun to play with once in a while!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Little Boy 12x12 collection) Echo Park
Stamps:  (Ninjas & sentiment from Tiny Ninjas) Mama Elephant, (Happy birthday from Birthday Greetings) Altenew

Umbrellas, Clouds & Rainbows

Hi there!  I've got cards for several challenges today.  First up is for the Inspired by All the Little Things challenge.  I was inspired by the grey day, the umbrella and the stripes although I went for rainbow stripes instead of black and white stripes.  I also used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches but I flipped it upside down.  This was actually my second attempt at the card. My first one used different papers.  Can't decide which one I prefer...

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  (Rainbow stripes from Everyday Collection 6x6) Avery Elle, Grey stripes from Dots & Stripes 6x6) Echo Park, (Plaid from Perfectly Plaid) Lawn Fawn, (Grey dots from South of Market 6x6) Studio Calico
Stamps:  (All from Weather It) Avery Elle
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukeniko
Die:  (Cloud border) Mama Elephant
Gems:  Recollections

Finally I have a card for the CAS-ual Fridays rainbow challenge.  How fabulous is that rainbow glitter tape?  Once I laid the tape I embossed the sentiment from Shenanigans to really make it pop and then I added a generous helping of gems for a bling-tactic celebration!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Grey) Stampin' Up

CASology #243

Welcome to Week 243 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

What a yummy cue word this week!!  I am a big fan of cake and icing.  It's pretty much my favourite dessert.  Nothing fancy either - a good old Duncan Hines box cake makes me very happy - Devil's Food with whipped vanilla frosting preferably!  While I love chocolate cake with white icing it's not that fun to colour so this little bear got to chow down on yellow cake with strawberry icing.  He's made an admirable start but I think I would have gotten a lot further before I gave up.  Not sure if that's actually something to be proud of...

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Kitty & Flower

Hi there!  I've got a card for two challenges today.  I'm playing along with Newton's Nook's Inky Paws Birthday challenge.  I used Tracey's sweet and colorful card over at Muse for my inspiration.  Newton is coloured with Copics and the gift is paper pieced with Echo Park papers from the same set as the background papers.  Pretty quick and simple to put together and I love the bright and happy stripes!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Splash 6x6) Echo Park
Stamps:  (Kitty & sentiment from Newton's Birthday Bash) Newton's Nook

Markers:  (R00, R22, C1, C3) Copic
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stella) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

I'm also playing along with the Doodle challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  I still have some of the stamped PTI Doodlie-Do images that Anita sent me a while back so I coloured one with bright rainbow colours and popped it up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.

Swirly Tree, Apple & Birthday Balloons

Hi there!  I'm back with three more cards.  First up is for the Merry Monday challenge which has started up again after a summer break.  We were challenged to make a card using gold, black and white.  I dug out some shiny gold cardstock and cut it with this fun Whimsy Stamps Christmas tree die.  I mounted it on the Avery Elle burst die and added an MFT sentiment in Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Hand Lettered Holiday) My Favourite Things
Ink:  (Delicate Golden Glitz) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Funky Christmas Tree) Whimsy Stamps, (Burst die) Avery Elle
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card for the Curtain Call: Candy Apple challenge.  I love this Paper Smooches apple image and always have fun paper piecing it.  The font on the Mama Elephant thanks die is also a favourite.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Kraft) Papertrey Ink, (Gumboil Green, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (This & That Graceful 6x6) Echo Park
Stamps:  (Apple from Falling for You) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Thanks) Mama Elephant, (Stitched frame) Reverse Confetti
Other:  (Glossy Accents) Ranger

Finally is a card for the Muse challenge.  I love the colour palette that Anita used for her balloons and used almost all the same Distress Inks for my Simon Says Stamp balloons.  I then die cut the Mama Elephant birthday and mounted it on a couple of layers of grey cardstock before popping it back into place and adding a little "Happy" above it.  I'm also going to add this to the Stamp It challenge over at the Simon Says Wednesday challenge

That's it for now.  Have a lovely day!

CASology #211

Welcome to Week 211 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Today's cue word is pretty broad which hopefully means that lots of you will play along!  :D

This Simon Says Stamp set was the first thing to come to mind for me.  I paper pieced the dog and pillow, popped everything up on foam tape and left plenty of "white" space
behind it all.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design and then play along!
