Christmas Critters

Hello!!

It's been ages since I was in the Craft Cave but today I finally returned to it and I have two cards to share.

First up is for the current Muse challenge where the fabulous Lindsey has provided our inspiration.  As you can see I stuck very close to the layout and just changed up the sentiment and image.  I broke out my Hero Arts ombre ink for the first time to stamp the sentiment and can't wait to play with them some more.  These MFT pooches are my new favourite Christmas images so I'm sure you'll be seeing plenty more of them!

This next card is for Freshly Made Sketches and the Anything Goes challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.  I had fun coloring this Newton's Nook image of Winston the bear heading home for Christmas.  He's definitely ready to celebrate!

Happy Christmas

I've got more Christmas cards this week starting with this one inspired by the sketch at the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.  It's a great sketch for using up scraps of patterned paper and you could use it for any occasion. This is the first time I've used the ornament stamp and possibly the sentiment stamp too.  The gems around the sentiment are actually red despite looking black in the photo.  Okay, that's it for now.  Have a great day!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  (Alison Kreft It's Christmas 6x6) Webster's Pages
Stamps:  (Ornament from All Yule Need, Sentiment from Joyful Greetings) Paper Smooches

Simply The Best

Hi there!  I'm popping in this evening with a card for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  I love this gorgeous wishing well and my card is a pretty literal interpretation of the picture.  I found the brick paper in an Allison Kreft for Webster's Pages Christmas collection.  I had been trying to get my brain in Christmas mode but when I saw this paper it ground to a halt and switched gears back to summery flowers.  I haven't used these Paper Smooches Reflections stamps and dies too often but they were exactly what I needed for this design.  Yay for dusting off unused goodies!

CAS(E) This sketch #66

Welcome to Week 66 of CAS(E) This Sketch!  Take a look at this week's sketch by Julie Day:

I decided to break out my severely neglected Distress Inks for this card.  I cut a scalloped mask and went to work with my inks.  I'm not great at this technique.  No matter how careful I am I always get ink under the mask.   After a few attempts though I finally got a clean image.  I stamped the Paper Smooches kite and clouds and then paper pieced them and popped up the kite.  I added a few pink gems under the sentiment to help tie it into the design a little more.  As always I can't wait to see what you come up with so check out the rest of the gorgeous DT designs and get craftin'!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  (Allison Kreft Sweet Note 6x6) Webster's Pages
Stamps:  (Kite & Clouds from Cut Loose, Sentiment from Many Thanks) Paper Smooches
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Stormy Sky) Ranger Distress Inks
Die:  (Nesties Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large) Spellbinders
Gems:  Recollections
