Washi Birthday

I'm popping in with a card for the sketch challenge at CAS on Friday and the "sketch" challenge at Inkspirational.  I Copic coloured this fun Concord & 9th cake and then I made use of some washi tape in order to prove to myself that I don't just keep it to look pretty in my craft room!

Skinny Washi Stripe

My brother and his fiancĂ©e sent me a bunch of crafty goodies for Christmas and included was a collection of skinny washi tape from Me & My Big Ideas.  They're fun individually but I also thought that they'd make a cool stripe if I put them all together.  I decided on a yellow sentiment die to balance out the yellow on the other side of the stripe and scattered around some Nuvo drops for some extra fun.  I made a second card with a Hello sentiment too.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Daffodil Delight) Stampin' Up
Die:  (Hello) Paper Smooches
Washi Tape:  Me and My Big Ideas
Other:  (Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops) Tonic

Flower Friends

Hello again!  When I was in the Craft Cave earlier this week I decided to make a concerted effort to use up some of the ready made embellishments I've hoarded accumulated over the years.  Somehow they seemed to make me a little braver in the busyness department so you'll see some decidedly un-CAS creations for the next few days.  For this card I used the current Paper Players sketch and a flower from Me & My Big Ideas (which is fabulously sparkly in real life!).  I added a few gems to the flowers in the sentiment to really make it pop.  Hope you all have a lovely day!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  (Snippets 6x6) Studio Calico
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Hello Friend) Lawn Fawn
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Flag Tags) Paper Smooches, (Double-Ended Banners) Papertrey Ink
Sticker:  (Soft Spoken embellishments) Me & My Big Ideas

Speech Bubble Christmas

It was an absolutely gorgeous day today so I didn't spend much of it in the Craft Cave.  I ran some errands and spent a few hours this afternoon with a couple of girlfriends. Then Atticus and I went for a walk and played some ball.  Once he was finally tired I decided I'd have time to squeeze in a card before Luis got home.  For this one I've played along with the Just Us Girls sketch and the Dynamic Duos colours.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  Adornit, Fancy Pants, Me & My Big Ideas
Stamps:  (Speech bubble from He Said, She Said) Paper Smooches, (Merry from Tremendous Treats: Christmas) Papertrey Ink, (Christmas from Traditional Christmas Greetings) Woodware

Embossing Powder:  (Clear) Ranger

Working Through the Stash...

On a recent excavation in the Craft Cave I came across some Me & My Big Ideas stickers and whipped up a couple of birthday cards.
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI; Stamp: Hero Arts; Ink: SU Rich Razzleberry; Stickers: Me & My Big Ideas

Supplies: Cardstock: PTI, Bazzill; Stamp: PTI; Ink: SU Not Quite Navy; Nesties: Large Labels; Sticker: Me & My Big Ideas
This second card was inspired by this card at the Papertrey Ink blog.  I didn't use an impression plate but I liked the layers and colours of the card and the little stars on the sticker went perfectly with the rest of it.
