My two favourite movies are "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Love, Actually". I realise that this is a pretty random pairing but well, I'm a bit random myself! :) CAS-ual Fridays has asked for cards inspired by movies this week. "Silence" is not a particularly card inspiring film especially when I got stuck on the "It puts the lotion in the basket" quote. Creepy, yes. Cardworthy, no. So I decided to go with "Love, Actually" as my inspiration. I used the colour palette from ColourQ and I'm also going to enter it at Lawnscaping's Valentine's inspiration challenge.
Cardstock: (White) Bazzill Basics, (Regal Rose, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait) Stampin' Up
Stamps: (Letters from Smitty's ABCs) Lawn Fawn
Ink: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies: (Block Alphabet) Papertrey Ink
Punch: (Heart) Unknown
What a fun CAS card, Jen, love all the love going around on this card! Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ. How is your weather?
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card and a perfect layout. I have been wanting to see "Love Actually" for a while now. Isn't it a holiday film? I am definitely going to rent it if it is one of your favorites.
ReplyDeleteThis is so creative, Jen! I love those letters on textured white.

ReplyDeleteYou have NO IDEA how much I want to make a 'lotion in the basket' card right now. I have to think of something.
ReplyDeleteSeriously.
It's just.so.disturbing.because hubby & I say that kind of stuff to each other if we go grocery shopping together - 'it puts the eggs in the cart' - {shudder}
Ahem.
So, anyhow, how about that smooshy love card? Sweet! I love the colours & the whole sentiment. And how did you get the circle so perfectly placed? Please tell me you didn't freehand it (or I will feel very inadequate....lol)
Fab card! Love how it's all words, yet has such a great visual impact :) Thanks for playing this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
