I've got more cards for two challenges today.  These are for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge (Animal Antics) and the AAA Birthday challenge (Animals and Critters).  I used another bear from the MFT set I showcased yesterday but this time I went for a brighter feel with patterned paper and coloured card bases.

Autumn is the time for pumpkin spiced everything which is where I took my inspiration from and I created a happy little rainbow of pumpkin spice lattes.  Truth be told I'm more of a caramel latte girl myself but I'll happily take a pumpkin muffin with my coffee!  :)

I've got a card for two challenges today - MFT Wednesday Sketch challenge and Just Add Ink (colours)  This adorable bear is from an older MFT set but it's one of my favourites.  Sweet and simple images and perfectly punny sentiments.  Can't ask for much more than that!

Lots of Trees

 

I've got two more cards from yesterday's crafting session.  This one is for CAS Colours & Sketches and the Colour Throwdown.  I decided pretty quickly that I wanted to use trees for this sketch and first I made a card with stamped Hero Arts trees (see below).  Then I decided I wanted to try this challenge with Colour Throwdown but I couldn't find the right blue ink so I dug out these NBUS Neat & Tangled trees and some cardstock and used them instead.  Its amazing how completely different the two cards feel just by changing up the tree style and colours.  The second one feels much more whimsical to me but I also like the cool, graphic feel of the first one.  What do you think?

Prayers & Hugs

 After two storms in a row we finally had a hurricane-free weekend!  Of course that also means that this will be the first Monday I've had to go to work this month but I guess I can cope with that.  :)  Since we had electricity all weekend I took the time to make a couple of challenge cards.  This one is for Freshly Made Sketches.  I found some remnants of this handmade paper that's been kicking around the craft room for years and decided to dust it off and make use of it.  I love the texture and movement in it.  Its so pretty and tactile!  I wanted to let the paper shine as much as possible so I kept the rest simple.  I layered a couple of MFT butterflies together,  added an Altenew sentiment and used some Nuvo crystal drops to finish it off.

Scalloped Birthday

 

Today's card was super simple to put together and I'm entering it in the Inspired By... challenge.  I thought of this Pretty Pink Posh scalloped edge die as soon as I saw the pillow in the inspiration photo.  I love it but it definitely hasn't gotten as much use as it should.  Glad to finally remedy that situation!

Happy Birthday, Dude!

I've got a card today for the Adventurous challenge at Time Out.  Surfing is an adventure that I have not yet tried but it is definitely on my bucket list.  I think this is the first time I've inked up the images from this Avery Elle set.  I love the sun and the adorable VW van.  I considered paper piecing it but went for Copic colouring today and ended up making 2 cards.  Guess I'll just have to pull them out again to try the paper piecing another day.
