I had some crafty time yesterday and made a card for the Curtain Call challenge using the design from Freshly Made Sketches (turned 90 degrees to the left). Pretty proud of myself actually - I normally make challenge cards at the last minute not the day they're announced. The cactus and sentiment are from Lil' Inker Designs and the patterned paper is My Favourite Things. I added lots of bling and my favourite Paper Smooches shadow to ground the plant. That's it for now. Have a lovely day!
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (White) Papertrey Ink, (Mossy Meadow) Stampin' Up

Inks: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up
Die: (Stitched rectangle) Mama Elephant

ReplyDeletefunky fun Cactus Jen!
ReplyDeleteThis is cute Jen, love the little bloom on the cactus!
ReplyDeleteBecause we have three kids living in Arizona, I'm drawn to cacti as they always remind me of family. This sweet card, with it's little bloom, and the bright papers peeking out from behind is a nice reminder of them, and has me smiling for all kinds of reasons. Mostly because you made it, and I like it very much! It's very sweet, Jen. I think you've got a winner here!! Absolutely delightful!! Bev
ReplyDeleteOh, this is terrific. I really love it.

This set looks cool done in deep jewel tone colors.
ReplyDeleteDo you think there's a subliminal message to a thank you card with a cactus on it? ;) Doesn't matter, since this card is awesome! The patterned paper panel sets the main panel off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun take on the sketch, Jen! Gorgeous cactus image and the stripey paper is such a cool look. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
