I'm back quickly today with a card for The Colour Throwdown. I was initially inspired by this gorgeous card by Therese of Lost in Paper. I didn't end up with quite the same loose watercolor look though. I used the backside of the stamps inked and spritzed with water for the watercolor feel and then wasn't thrilled with it so I overstamped the flowers and leaves with the lined images. Quite a different look in the end but it's fun to see where inspiration leads you. :)
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (Watercolour) Ranger, (Mossy Made) Stampin' Up
Stamps: (Flowers from Our Friendship Grows) Lawn Fawn, (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew
Ink: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks) Ranger
Gems: Doodlebug
Love the spritzing. This looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBright, sunny and delicious, Jen ... love how you've blinged the flower centres ... and the speckling is gorgeous! Hugs, Anita :)
