I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever played along with the Papertrey Ink monthly blog hop. I couldn't resist the inspiration photo though so I dug into my Papertrey stash. Now that I'm looking at the photo on my screen I think those stripes on the shoes are grey. I initially registered them as a dusty navy blue so that's what I went for with my stripes. The rest of it is pretty simple and self explanatory so that's it for me for now. Have a lovely day!
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (White) PaperTrey Ink, (Not Quite Navy) Stampin' Up
Stamps: (Flower & leaves from Happiness In Bloom) Papertrey Ink
Inks: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso) Stampin' Up
Cover Plate: (Stripes Horizontal) Papertrey Ink
I really like your card with the navy blue stripes, so a happy accident in my mind! :0)

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you along the hop, Jen, with this sweet and lovely card!! A lot of us weren't sure if the shoe stripes were navy or dark grey, so you're in good company and either way, your stripes are perfection!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Jen! We were thinking of the same flower set when we created our cards. I used this same set on my card.

ReplyDeleteHi Jen, so nice to see your beautiful creation here. Love the cheerful orange bloom on the striking white/navy background
ReplyDeleteLove this card, Jen. The orange bloom is so vibrant and lovely. I think the stripes on the shoes are a bluish gray, so the dusty blue paper works for me! The clean lines and large flower make my eyes and brain happy, and when they're happy, all of me is happy! Love this fun card. Well done you!! Bev
ReplyDeleteI thought those stripes were blue also. Then, read the text and saw that they were grey. So, our brains work the same way. Love this pretty card.
