CAS(E) This Sketch #72

Welcome to Week 72 of CAS(E) This Sketch!  Take a look at this week's sketch by Julie Day:

My initial thought for this sketch was quite similar to Donna's so I decided to go back to the drawing board and ponder the design a little further.  And, just as I was dropping off to sleep the other night, it came to me - a Rubik's Cube!!  (Does that ever happen to you?  I keep a notebook on my bedside table now because I seem to get a lot of ideas as I'm drifting off to sleep.  Good for card ideas but not good for my beauty sleep!)  Anyway, I thought the WPlus9 sentiment would compliment the Rubik's Cube perfectly and hopefully it will go to an appreciative child of the 80s!  :)  I can't wait to see where this sketch takes your creative minds so break out the crafty supplies and get to work!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from So 80s) Wplus9
Inks:  (Real Red, Basic Grey) Stampin' Up
Punch:  (3/4" square) EK Success

  2. This is so clever Jen, I love it, such a creative take and how many hours did I waste playing that silly game! And the sentiment is an awesome match!! Yes I get ideas drifting off to sleep but mostly it keeps me awake as ideas don't come!!

  5. Oh, your Rubik's cube is not "done" and my fingers are itchy! Awesome card, Jen! I used to be able to complete the Rubik's cube in about 13 seconds, but not anymore, I've forgotten the formula... now they just frustrate me, lol!

  8. Yep, that retro font is perfection for your Rubik's Cube! I don't do the notebook thing... I just roll it around in my head so I'll remember, also not good for sleeping...

  9. I spent many a frustrating hour with one these when I was a kid... I think I'm having flashbacks right now... or is that flash dancing, I think I'm confused. Great idea and perfectly executed Jen!

  10. Great idea to make a Rubik's cube. I remember those--I don't think I was every able to complete one. I don't get card ideas in bed--most of mine come to me at spin class. Then I try to remember them when I get home.
