ReplyDeleteI'm with you on starfruit, but you rocked it Jen...this card is awesome. I love the collage of flowers.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out awesome! I'm not really a fan of yellow, period, but works so well in this bright panel. And look, some fabulous white embossing! ;)
ReplyDeleteOOoooh this is really stunning! Love the cheeriness this brings forth.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you decided to not skip this week. This card is amazing! Thanks for joining us again thie week at the ColourQ.

ReplyDeleteLOL, you and Vanessa were channeling the same crafty vibe! BUT, this is different! It's simply fabulous--I adore those floral images and the use of color! Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational! :) I can’t wait to see what you make for us next week! If you have some time, I'd love to see what you would make of our challenge at Technique Tuesday as well! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you did up this dirty color just delightful, Jen. I actually really like this card. Almost a watercolor effect. Kool!
ReplyDeleteI really like your card, but I do get what you mean about it being a dirty yellow. It's a really hard shade to work with, but I like what you've done with it here :-)

This is gorgeous! I love how it turned out! Perfect stamping!
ReplyDeleteWow--love this card. I think your pattern would make an awesome fabric! I think it works so well for you here because the bright colors are balanced by so much grey. It looks just super.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! I love the color combination you put together. The gray card base and white sentiment really ground the colors, too. Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, the bold colours in your fab stamped panel really pop beautifully against the grey! Love the white embossed sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with us at Inkspirational & I hope you join us again soon! Ruth x
lol... I must say, I agree with your feelings about Summer Starfruit. If I'm going to use yellow, it better be pretty! Ha. But you did well sucking it up! The stamped panel is quite a fabulous trick, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see why that's not your favourite yellow! Something about the pink & red with it, and the perfect amount of grey 'white' space makes it less icky. (That sounds bad - but I figure it will make you laugh, so I'm leaving it!) I really like how you did the layers as well - lots of dimension from that!
ReplyDeleteWell done you, I think that you have used this 'dreaded' colour to perfection, that's half the fun of these challenges lol!
ReplyDeleteThe colors add that little something special to your card. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean about the yellow but it's the perfect compliment to those pinks... Love that punchy flower panel against the grey :0)
