Birthday Balloons

Good morning!  I'm popping in with a simple one layer card for Lawnscaping's One Layer challenge. I almost dismissed this challenge completely as my cards usually consist of paper piecing and lots of dimensional adhesive.  However, after some pondering, I came up with this.  I stamped the colours with the back side of the balloon stamp and then stamped the outline on top.  I added the strings in a light shade of grey and then finished it with this sentiment from Grand Greetings.  I really must make more one layer cards.  They're so mail friendly and also easier on the hands - no cramped fingers from too much fussy cutting!  :D

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Stamps:  (Balloon from Admit One, Sentiment from Grand Greetings) Lawn Fawn
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento London Fog) Tsukineko, (Rose Red, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum) Stampin' Up

  11. You got such great depth with only one layer! Wow - love this; almost looks like layers of tissue paper. Another winner, Jen.
