Luis and I are utterly devastated and heartbroken at the loss of Jem. He was our sweet, goofy, lovable boy and there is a huge void in our lives now.
I will probably continue to post cards as making them is the only thing right now that is helping to keep the grief at bay. But please forgive me if I don't have much to say for a while.
I know that words aren't going to be enough, so I'll send some thoughts your way. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved boy.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry, Jen. I'm tearing up with you. :( I know he was like your child, and the grief doesn't go away easily. You might remember we lost our dog, Gracie a year ago, and I think I've cried about 300 days over it...I don't know that non-pet people realize how attached you get to them and how devastating it is to lose them. Jen I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your Jem. I know there is nothing I can say that will take away the sadness you're feeling. I too lost a beloved pet this year. I'm thinking of you and sending you virtual HUGS.
