Just a quick post today. Looooong day yesterday and I have a million things to do this morning before I head back to work this afternoon. This card isn't for a particular challenge but I've had this "sushi grass" sitting on my desk for ages. I collected it from a girl's night out a month or so ago and thought I could recycle it - or up-cycle it. (What's the difference between those 2 phrases anyway?) I thought it looked like sea grass so I paired it with these bright-eyed WPlus9 fish.
Supplies: CS: The Stampin' Place; Stamps: WPlus9, HA, Inks: VersaMark, Memento; Rub-ons: Doodlebug
Does upcycle mean to make it something better than it was before? Anyway I think you have definitely done that, such an adorable card Jen!! Love your heart bubbles!
Gorgeous card Jen, love the recycled grass. Now your followers tab is back I can follow you too. I see you are another animal fan called Jen...I'm a qualified veterinary nurse although currently a SAHM, it's a great job if you love animals isn't it :) Jenny x
What a great way to use the sushi grass! Too cute! Have a great weekend and don't work to hard.
ReplyDeleteOh...Jen...this is so ADORABLE! Hope you have some nice sunny weather and a relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I would call it sushi grass, too. This is just adorable! I love how you used that HA background to make swirly water, too!

ReplyDeleteSo cute, Jen! I love how you reused the grass (there, that's my way avoiding which term to use). The background looks amazing. You're so good!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet.
ReplyDeleteI have never eaten sushi and have no idea what sushi grass is, but... way to cleverly reuse it! It's perfect on your little sea scene card. :)
